Government imposed somehow, especially in low-income and African American areas. Has nobody thought of this or am I just a damn Genius. Why let people keep screwing up so that they can be dependent on government? Lets share the wealth of knowledge instead of the wealth of tax dollars. Thats what I think. Agree? No? Ideas?

Totally. None of the public schools I went to had anything of the like. But then, any school where a football coach is made to teach chemistry doesn't really care all that much about educating people....

There should be a general finance/tax requirement in all high schools. It's amazing what people don't know about their money.

you should see the school i went to. the teachers were all burnt out. nothing was good. college was better but they need to do that stuff in high school. blacks are almost brought up to think its okay to have poor credit cuz mom and grandma did. that would be a great change.... why have not our congressmen come up with that? notice the girl who says she had a class like that is white. too bad.

They do have courses like that in high school and college. Money Management classes. People keep screwing up because either they skipped that day, or they weren't paying attention.

They may do, then again they may not. Throughout my schooling and College, various people have left due to new oppertunities arising, and they do not really mind. You aren't quitting, you are taking on a new oppertunity.

Both economic professors I've had spend a big chunk of class on finance/credit. Instead of having a separate course, I prefer it to be mixed in with economics. It was pretty helpful.

I think it's a great idea, although it needs to be for everyone, not just one or two specific socioeconomic or racial groups. Everyone seems to be in debt up to their eyeballs these days!
