The reason i ask this is because all thru history muslims are afraid to draw the prophet. This is absurd. He was a man, he died and he was buried. You cannot make him out to be some kind of martyr simply because he taught a faith. So why is it ? Forget about what he said about its a rule from allah. I think the reason under my legal opinion is because the prophet may have had feminine feelings and mayve tried to keep it from the public docket. Maybe he went all the way and had a sex change and decided it was great. Its probably a fact that his followers caught onto his effeminate ways and decided to exile his image and declared a law to never have him drawn or any other form of man therafter to. Can anyone in the muslim world disprove this ? Their are no portraits of him therefore my theory stands as the truth until it can be disproven. INSHALLAH !

I think they secretly..some not so secretly worship the false prophet. Consider also all truth in Islam comes through this one man.The words of the prophets and all previous scripture is considered corupt unless it agrees with the Qu'ran which he brought them. Leaving them with no actual word of God or prophets that did not pass through him.He is considered tha last prophet so no truth before him or after him all the truth of Allah has to come from Muhammad. Pretty good gig huh? Muhammad also had exemptions from the law. Let's face it Allah can't speak without him...all truth came from him...He is the Muslim god.

There are two major reasons:
1) Islam was once polytheistic. Muhammad incorperated over 300 Gods from the Pagan tribes of Medina so that they would be persuaded to join his cult. Once he gained enough power he rejected Idol worship and worked toward a monothieistic religion for political reasons. His followers were confused by this, he told them that he was tempted by satan to include the other Gods and he made Shirk (associating Allah with other Gods) and idol worship a serious offence-that includes picture of Muhammad.
2) Once Muhammad gained enough power he no longer tolerated anybody who undermined his authority so he ordered the assassinations people who presented him in bad light by drawings or literature. Two poets abu afak and asma bint marwan were among his victims.

only some Sunni Muslims didn't draw Mohammed's or any human or animal picture to stay away from idols. as for Shea Muslims, they have drawings of Muhammad and i saw them.
