~~~~~ Mango Milk Shake ~~~~~
1 medium (8-ounce) ripe mango
1 8.45-ounce container vanilla soy milk
2 tsp honey
1. To prepare mango, cut thick slices lengthwise down both sides of the pit, as near to it as possible; scoop out the flesh from each slice and place in blender. Cut around pit to remove any remaining flesh; discard pit and add the flesh to blender.
2. Add soy milk and honey to mango; puree until smooth. Serve immediately or refrigerate for a frostier beverage.
Enjoy!..._;-)
Power Shake
about 150g/6oz prepared fruit such as berries, mango, banana, papaya, peach, apricot, melon or kiwi fruit
250ml/8½fl oz low-fat plain yoghurt
250ml/8½fl oz fruit juice such as orange, apple, pineapple or cranberry
50g/2oz ground almonds
2 tbsp honey
3-4 tbsp wheatgerm
pinch of ground cinnamon
Method
1. Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
2. Pour into glasses and serve with a straw. This shake will keep in the fridge for two days.
Or try the following variations:
Replace the almonds with 100g/4oz silken tofu.
Replace the fruit juice with skim milk, soy milk or unsweetened coconut milk.
Omit the wheatgerm and use porridge oats instead.
Add other flavourings before blending such as one teaspoon of pure vanilla essence, a dash of almond essence or two teaspoons of grated fresh ginger.
For a thick shake add ice cubes before blending.
Milk,ice cream,berries rasp and straw,bananas and yogurt. You asked for a power shake not a protein shake. This will give you plenty of power. And plenty of protein. Im not saying protein shakes are not good for you but if you hoard that stuff it will be hard for your body to break down proteins from food. Yes that is way down the road and lots of it but, it can happen.
my shake is so simple i have a whey protein powder that i mix with 8 oz of milk. The directions say mix it with 6oz of water yuck! i bought the chocolate flavored it has a better flavor to me than the vanilla. you can then take one banna and cut it into little pieces or if your in a hurry pull it off in small pieces and then blend it and go. im thinking about throwing in a spoon of peanut butter lol . good luck this one is so easy.lol and it actually is good i actually end up chugging it and sometimes want another one so if you want to you could double it as long as your active. well good luck bye.
Get some strawberry's/Vanilla Icecream and cold milk.
Put the strawberry's in first and belnd it to a whip and add milk as you do it. It will foam up a little.
Then add some vanilla extract for a little flavor
Put your Icecream in there and blend slowly to a smooth thickness only.
Now thats a shake.
cook a whole chicken, 5 roast potato's a couple carrots, some cabbage, swede, peas and sweetcorn... then make up a chocolate fudge cake with 3 heaped tablespoons of clotted cream.... whack the whole lot into a blender for a few mins (obviously take bones out of chicken unless you like a crunchy texture) then pour into a 3 pint glass, add a touch of milk and some honey and drink whilst holding nose....
Peanut butter, banana, protein powder, ice (or just keep ripe bananas frozen), skim milk and flax seed oil. This shake is filling and good for you.
