Alright my ex and I got in a fight and I said some bad things about myself, well she told me that i am not as bad of a person as I think I am. Well she and other people that i have talked to have told me this alot, but all i see is that we got in a fight and that I am the cause of it. Which makes me feel bad but they still say i am a good person. What should i think? Should i still think i am a piece of crap for the way i treat people sometimes, or should i see that i am a good person and that i just dont want to see it?

hmmm the same happened to me...
we fought...
we said bad things about ourselves...
we broke up...
not a fun situation, let me tell you!
hmmm at any rate...
none of it was true. truth be told, we're both really awsome people.
and I'm sure that you are too.

I think you are to hard on yourself and that you are human and we all make mistakes. You most likely are a good person or she wouldn't be with you.Just be happy with who you are and if you think you are mean to people sometimes try and work on it.Good Luck!P.s you don't sound like a pile of crap if you were you most likely wouldn't have asked this question.Crappie people don't care how they treat others.

Sit down and make a list of all the good qualities you see within yourself. You should find that this list backs up what your ex and your friends say about you. It should also make you feel better about yourself in the process. Of course, this isn't an overnight process, but it's a great start. And once you have this list, whenever you feel down about yourself in the future, refer to it, and remember what you said was great about yourself. You'll eventually start to believe it. :)

I would concentrate on trying to treat people better, work on less fighting and concentrate on all the positives in your life. She is your ex, so maybe she pulls this out of you, gets you going, knows your buttons. Take it easy on yourself, pick better people to be around
