NO!!!!! Go to http://www.dorway.org to do your research when you have the time, but here lies the problem. Splenda is chlorinated, that's all I need to know to stay away from it.
If you drink your pool water, what does it do to your arteries and veins?
Same thing with Splenda.
It causes holes and divets in the lining of your arteries and veins. Just because it's approved as a food additive, doesn't mean you should trust it.
This is what the FDA does NOT want you to know about http://www.justlikesugar.com Get this and it's zero calories and an all natural food.
Why does the FDA not want you to know about it? Because an FDA member who approved of Aspartame, in diet sodas, stepped down from his position after he vetoed any testing to prove it's toxicity and retired a billionaire. The system is corrupt.

No, actually if you look up formaldehyde and nutrasweet, see what you can come up with... not good. Aspartame breaks down into formadehyde. Actually you probably should not even drink it. There is a natural sweeter called stevia, that is made from an herb. It is all natural, calorie free and really sweet. You can find it at a health food store. Actually you do not need much stevia because it is a lot sweeter than sugar, but you do not have to worry about poisoning yourself like with the artificial sweetners. So you might want to do some research, and buy some Stevia. The nutrasweet and splenda are not good for kids, or you for that matter. If something is not good for a child, then why would you want to consume it? Anyways, check it out.

I agree with the answers here. Nutrasweet (aspartame) and Splenda are both pushed on us, or made readily available to us but there are other sweetners that are actually less known in this country but are actually _good_ for you. Honey heals wounds. If you have allergies, you have got to get your hands on some locally made honey. (WIthin 50 miles of you or closer). Ask at the health food store. ALSO, I am so excited to be sharing this because I have used these methods for years and have never heard any negative health problems in adults (young children should still be weary of honey the first few years).
Now, get this, in Japan and other countries they have "diet" and "health" beverages made with *stevia* all over the place!
I love stevia, it may be a little more expensive (also at health food stores) try liquid and powder (the green packets :-) )
Stevia is a very sweet herb. It actually helps balance out our systems when we use it. It rocks. It has a faint licorice taste so some people dont like it in coffee but, it is great in tea and you can even try it in a product available at Wal-mart if you want!!!
Celestial Seasonings makes two flavors of their take-along water bottle Zinger TO GO packettes that contain stevia. The others are bad ick probably contain nutrasweet. But the "Peach Delight Green Tea" and the Berry Blast (no caffeine) are awesome and made with Stevia yay! Sweet, and good for you!

When nutrasweet came out, they claimed it was *safe* Now the food and drug people are saying all sorts of side effects. Slenda is still new, and I am betting that we will be hearing about all sorts of problems that happen when you eat that too! Splenda is not the same as nutrasweet BTW

Splenda is made from sugar, nutrasweet is not. Nutrasweet causes a lot of people headaches and other neurological problems, but not everyone. I use splenda and have never had a problem with it.

Splenda is garbage designed to kill you. My reference is Kevin Trudeaus book. Stop taking that stuff and you'll feel alot better.

They are both worse for you avtually then regular sugar. See thats subtitute sugar and all it is is dextrose and other horrible chemicals to make up for sugar. It causes cancer and and othetr disease and i recommend you do not use it
