How come every time I ask a guy that I like out, they say they no, but then they like me?

Every time I ask a guy that i like out, they say no, but then they are my friends. Then they start acting like jerks all of a sudden, like they were never even my friend in the first place. When I like a different guy though, my friends are always telling me to just ask him out already, and I am just scared of rejection, and because I do that with some other guys, but they say to just wait, until he asks me out. I don't know what they want me to do. I mean I have no problem asking a guy I like out, its just it would be nice for a change if a guy I liked actually liked me back, and they asked me out, not vice versa. Just to add to it, it seems like they flirt with me a lot, and even before that I like them, and I think they like me, and that's why I ask him out. Shouls I listen to my friends, my heart, my head? I just don't know what to do anymore. Help please.

take it froim someone who knows. if you listen to you're heart
you're heart will see you through. listen to the people, and they'll
make a fool of you. hearing out our heads never got us any where, the only thoing a head can do is showing off your hair.
so, listen to your heart. you see, your heart's the one that knows,
and that's the way the cookie crumbles, yeah, that's just the way it goes.
