1. Don't drink on an empty stomach
2. Stick with one kind of drink (Preferably something weak because you apparently are a beginner). I woud suggest vodka and cranberry juice.
3. Ask the bartender not to make it strong.
4. Drink slow (two an hour tops).
5. If you start getting really social and having the best time of your life, STOP DRINKING cause it can go from good to bad really quick.
6. Stick with the rules.

Food slows the absorption of alcohol into your blood stream. If you don't eat you will get drunk quick and if you are drinking liquor you might feel a little sick. Eat something with absorbing qualities like bread or potatoes. I have always tried to stay away from the dairy, no milk or cheese
You can mix whatever you want to, don't let those rhymes about not mixing beer and liquor scare you. As long as your not drinking mass quantities of both there shouldn't be any problems. There are many drinks that I can think of off hand like a white Russian that have both dark and light liquors. Long islands often have spiced rum mixed with everyother kind of clear alcohol. Lycburg Lemonades have tripple sec and whiskey. I am not really sure what you mean with the dark and light thing
Simply hangovers occur because your brain doesn’t have enough water. Stop drinking about an hour before you go to bed and drink water, I second the late night Burrito Run.
If you are hung over in the morning I love a greasy breakfast, usually McDonalds and lots of water.
Amended: They only painkiller you can take is Aspirin, the others including Tylenol and Advil have an ingrediant that you liver has a hard time processing, and since it will also be proccessing the alcohol it has to work overtime and can cause liver damage
GO BEARS

I'll do the best I can...
Definitly eat something with meat (NOT SEAFOOD) and carbs. They will help absorn alcohol and process it a little better. Seafood will make you sick, I don't know why, it just does.
I'm sure you have heard "Beer before liquor, never been sicker. Liquor before beer, you're in the clear." IT's true!!! Drink your hard liquor first and stick with 1 kind of hard liquor. Once you start mising liquors, flavors, textures and such, it gets bad. The sugar content of every liquor differs, so do your body a favor and give it only 1 kind to process. Once you have had enough, go for beer. I like a beer because the carbonation is comforting (to me). Also, try to drink a few glasses of water that night. It will help your body process everything and you won't feel (as) bad. Keep snacking on small things like chips to absorb some more alcohol.
the funny thing is your body will send a message to your brain that says "if you take another drink, you're going to get sick." I swear on my life, it happens to everyone. If you heed this warning your body gives, then you will not be as bad in the morning. However, if you don't, that's when it gets bad. Actually, your body tells you this because it has so much alcohol in it, that you are borderline poisioned. the reason people get sick is your body's way of preventing alcohol poisoining.
Be safe, have fun and happy partying!!!

Here are some really simple rules of drinking.. we have to be honest and say that it's bad for you, however, since you are going to do it, anyway, here is my advice, and it's from an old geezer who used to drink..
I found that, if I take a couple of tylenol BEFORE drinking, the hangover, if it came, was not quite as bad..
also, as has been said, make sure you eat something..
the most important part of all this is, drink ONLY with people you know and trust..
If you get drunk with people who are not close to you, then you may wind up here on the net, doing or showing things you never wanted your momma to see.
Good luck.

I feel you girl I like to get tipsy too. Well I dont know why you cant mix light and dark liquours I think it has something to due with the why light and dark liquors are distilled. I found if you just pace your self you'll be good. Always drink water when you drink though. This will help your body remain hydrated. Also you have to eat before you drink, nothing greasy because you'll end up with the shits.LOL . Things like crakers and bread will soak up allot of the liquor on your stomach. Or you also can take chaser when you start drinking it's at CVS . It stops you from getting a hangover ( there just pills). Dont get allot though. Because if you get way to drunk them you'll be hurling all that **** up. Remeber do everything in moderation. Cool?

Make sure to not drink on an empty stomach. Drink plenty of water all day as to not get dehydrated. Know your limits, know how much you can drink and get drunk and when to stop before getting sick. Its true to not drink beer and liquor and to not drink the cheap stuff. If you dont get too heavily intoxicated, try to munch on some crackers or toast before you go to bed, along with A LOT of water. Maybe pop a few advil or tylenol and enjoy a deep sleep. Hope this helps, happy drinking!

*blinkblink* i'm surprised on the b.s. human beings will have self belief... Fluoride grew to become into positioned into water with the help of the ADA to help interior the combat against cavities, comparable reason it is positioned into toothpaste. i'm not stunned to work out it put in different meals besides. it is likewise a organic element in case you verify the periodic table. it is not a conspiracy until eventually you're a hollow area. And for the record, I drink a super form of water, besides as milk, and that i'm nonetheless extremely on top of problems with my senses. If faith could not brainwash me, I tremendously doubt some stupid conspiracy theory will. Oh, and that i additionally am not at right here to transform human beings to atheism(or extra accurately, agnosticism). What human beings have self belief is their own enterprise so a ways as faith is going. Hate to interrupt it to you, yet there's no worldwide atheist conspiracy to mass-convert human beings, least of all the way by way of fluoridated water. i could be extra keen on the point of chlorine and lead in my water than fluoride. heavily, earlier you suspect some b.s. that somebody tells you, do your self a choose and look it as much as make effective it is unquestionably actual as a replace of deciding to purchase for into panic and concern.

from someone who's had good and bad drinking experiences, here's what i've learned.
as everyone's already stated, definitely eat before you drink. you'll be able to drink more. mixing really doesn't matter. personally i really just stick to beer but friends around me don't and they've had no problems with getting sick. the only thing that might make you feel sick if you start mixing it with other drinks are drinks that are really sugary. once you feel drunk, stop drinking bc if you continue you'll just get too drunk and want to sleep or pass out (and feel like hell when you wake up). drink PLENTY of water before you go to sleep and eat as well. eat something starchy.
and if you feel hungover when you wake up, take tylenol and eat something.

When you are feeling "just right" your next drink should be water...then a drink.. then a water ...Carry on like this for the rest of the night and you won't get too drunk but you also won't lose your buzz and want to go to bed...Don't mix...Decide what you feel like drinking tonight and stick to it..Exceptions to every rule of course...Its okay to have A shooter "A" being ONE...Or ONE of something else...Anything more is mixing and it has baaad results alot of the time!...Happy boozin!
Oh!...Pasta before hand...Or something else substantial like meat and potatoes.
I should mention that I stay away from the hard stuff...Coronas with lime are quite safe and predictable and they taste damn good!....And this from someone who doesn't like beer!...{Double lime..squeezed please!!}

Food, and don't guzzle the drink. Stay with one drink and sip it. By the time the game is over, you'll still have a buzz but won't be passed out drunk. Just take it easy and enjoy yourself.
