I am a 13 year old boy who is thinking of growing a small ponytail in high school. I think i will just grow my back hair until it is long enough to turn into a ponytail while continuing to cut my front and side hair. Does that works? How do you feel about boys with ponytails anyway? Thanks.

Maybe I shouldn't answer this because I am not a young person, but I have always loved longer hair on a man.
As long as it's kept clean and combed and well-groomed, there is nothing wrong with it.
My second husband had wonderful, long, black hair that I found so attractive on him.
If you want to have longer hair, go for it. Don't listen to the people who don't like it for whatever reason. If it's something you feel you want to try, do it. Long hair is not like a permanent tatto, you can always cut it off if you decide you don't like it.
Check with your parents first, to make sure they don't have any objections to your experiementing with hair length.

Having your own unique look is great for high school, but I wouldn't recommend a ponytail because on boys they tend to make hair look greasy and I would never date a man with a ponytail because I would find it revolting. Try thinking of some other good ideas to make yourself look unique and skip the ponytail idea.

I'm a 14 year old boy. As your pier I think you should listen to me. You would look sooooo stupid! If you're gonna grow your hair, you gotta grow all of it. It has to be a pretty long ponytail before u can just leave is as a ponytail. you have to just leave it out or get braids while it is growing.

I am no longer a boy by any means, but my hair is down to my waist!! I personally think that long hair on some guys is better than short hair. Just make sure to keep it clean and out of your face. Not too sure about the short on the front and sides though-mullet city!!

You're talking about a mullet. Way, way out of date! If you wore it like that, I guarantee, nobody would talk to you. Let all of your hair grow, to about chin level, then pull it back into a ponytail. Just keep it nice and neat.

omg yes do it. I have a ponytail and only get beat up like 4 times a week! its not that bad really cause it looks soooo neat!

Ponytails arent really too appealing for guys in my opinion....go with dread locks...they're so much better

Unless you're the guitarist in a jam band or are able to use your ponytail as a weapon, there is no excuse for it.
