My friend, you're better off getting your deposit back rent a regular hotel room in Downtown Brooklyn. The reason I say this is because Bainbridge Street is a bit out of way from the Barclays Center. Now, since you're have a gig at the arena, there is a Marriott Hotel located on Adams Street, not far from the Brooklyn Bridge. You can get from the hotel to the Barclays Center by subway (metro) in about 10 minute. I hope this information was very helpful. If you have any questions or need travel directions while in town, just drop me a line by clicking on the avatar and e-mail icon in the profile. I'll be glad to help. Good luck Native New Yorker

Blood oranges, also known as "raspberry" oranges and Sanguinelli oranges, are somewhat less sweet than a navel orange and have a more complex flavor than a Valencia. I like to mix Valencia juice with blood orange juice.

...However, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings: the bulk of the Blood oranges produced in the US are grown in California, and this is the time of the year when the crop is ripening ready to harvest. We have had some super cold weather out here and I'm very much afraid that most of the blood orange harvest, which is never very large, was lost in the freeze. I don't know if you're going to find them at all in Brooklyn, but if you do I guarantee you'll be paying a very high price for them.

You might have to wait until next year, which gives you a chance to develop your sources. Good luck.

OoOoh... Go to Dean and Deluca next time you get into the City...

They have an EXCELLENT Blood Orange Juice in the cold section...

OMG is it delish!

They are heartier than a regular Orange (They are grown in Sicily in Italy) and have lots more Iron... They are packed with vitamins and minerals and have a strong, sweet, (can't think of a good word) just better taste than a regular old orange.

Hug Brooklyn for me... I miss it! I'm stuck in Hell!

If Pathmark doesn't have them then Shop-rite usually does? Or waldbaums? If they still have them? Ask the manager of the produce Dept to order in a few for you. They will...

They taste like oranges, just a little bit sweeter, very nice actually. Don't know where to get them in Brooklyn. Maybe a fruit and veggie store?

Bed-Stuy is really changing, except New York in general at night in almost every neighborhood it is not the best idea for a young female to be walking alone. Now its kind of rare to get shot, but you have a decent possibility of getting mugged, so do not bring a lot. Like NativeNewYorker said, you should've looked near downtown Brooklyn. But you shouldnt have any major encounters.

The taste is hard to describe--they generally aren't as sweet as a regular orange. My friend who loves regular oranges hates them. I don't like regular oranges, but do like blood oranges. Sorry I can't help with finding them. My advice would be a farmers market or specialty grocery. I live in Texas and we don't have Pathmark.
