There is this guy in my grade that I really like that is on the basketball team. I am a cheerleader. I think that he likes me, too. But at dances, he asks my cousin ALL the time. My friends were like high on soda and they asked him if he wanted to dance with me and he said that I would not say yes. He stares at me sometimes and he was concerned that I might become annorexic (just because I don't eat chocolate *gasp* yes I know). He is nice to me, but can someone please help me and tell me what is going on. I seriously have no idea.

he sounds intimidated by you. many guys his age are afraid of rejection because they aren't quite mature enough yet. If you really like him, i'd talk to him first. I bet he'll squirm and become uncomfortable because he does like you. however, he'll probably thank you for it later.

Well, obviously, this guy is interested in your cousin, if he asks her to dance all the time.
He may like you, though, and he just thought that you were out of his league - but, it's impossible to tell whether he really likes you or your cousin more. Why do you think he likes you? Do you catch him staring, or does he act shy or try to impress you? These are obvious signs, and he may just be "settling" for your cousin, but he also may genuinely like her - you may be too late.
Honestly, if I were you, I wouldn't bother catching this fish unless you *really* like it - why would you date a guy who has his eyes on someone else?

i would start w/ asking him 4 a dance at the next dance. then after ask him if he wants to hang out afterwads at an after party w/ a few friends, or just any time, then he might get th courage to ask u out, but if he doesnt, u might have to

It's obvious. Until your meddling friends interfered, he was asking your cousin to dance all the time. I'd say that is a strong indicator that he's interested in her, wouldn't you say?

Ok, I think theguy is confused. I say you wait a bit and see what else he does or says to your friends.If he asked your cousin and not You that says a lot. He may like you both, find might like her more.

Just cut to the chase and ask him out. If he says yes, then perhaps there is something there. If he says no, then don't bother with him anymore.

Maybe your cousin just comes off as easy. Rather you don't. but don't try to become "easy" cause in the longer run it might end up ruining your life.
