i think it's depends from your status....it might be 5-7 years or maybe more

It all depends on your status. First, you need to become a US Resident, from there you wait 5 years to become a citizen. It all depends on what you are filing under. If you married a citizen, then you get your US Residency in about 2 years, then wait 5 years to apply for citizenship. If you are claiming asylum, it's a little faster. But if you don't have a valid reason then you might wait a long time before you can even begin to file papers. We waited 15 years.
