that seems self defeating... why would people want to come here to be treated like slaves? it seems it would have a negative impact on immigration which would keep it from generating much money.

Legal immigrants pay MANY fees, have to show that they will not be a drain on the community, have a job waiting.
Illegal breakers of border laws pay nothing and have what amounts to a "Gold Card" for food and services that many citizens do not even have are a drain upon the taxpayers of the United States.
The best way to slow illegal breakers of border laws is to enforce the laws that are already on the books. Follow a plain similar to what Eisenhower put into effect back in the 1954 is a tried method of enforcement that was done with far less immigration and border patrol agents than we have today and was very effective.

We do tax immigrants, also the illegal ones who have criminally obtained social security numbers from the great Americans. All Illegals need to get the flock out now before they start disappearing like they are in the deserts. Birds and wild animals are also in the cities and will eliminate the illegal as well.

I assume you mean ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, even though there is no such thing. Immigrants are here LEGALLY.
The problem with taxing the illegal alien criminals is that their income is so low they would get and income tax credit which means that they would get more money from the taxpayer. They have no money. That's why they are here, sucking us dry.

If immigrants ever want a chance of becoming US Citizens they already pay taxes. We did, we were illegal for about 12 years and every year we payed our taxes. All you have to do is apply for a tax ID number that they give you, instead of a social security. Taxing people isn't going to do anything, they'll just avoid paying it.
How about returning the troops home and spending the billions of dollars that we are on the war and instead putting it into the health care plan.
Immigrants are not the enemy, Stupid people like Bush in charge are.

I am an immigrant, and personally feel insulted by this proposal. Why do we have to pay for the things YOU screw up on? I have my own private health insurance, thank you very much, so I shouldn't be paying for you and your redneck family's medications.
