Your ex dumped you. In plain English, that means: "I am no longer interested in what you do, have a nice life, hope to never hear from you again."
No, he does not need to be told about every breath you or anyone else takes.
As far as the rebound guy, of course he just wants to get into your pants. Ask yourself if your opinion of yourself really is that low.

According to what you are saying its sounds just like that, I would tell him no, he thinks your desperate at the moment and is trying to work his way in, I recommend you shut the door on him and tell your ex how you feel about him, but not knowing why you guys broke up I would not recommend spending the rest of your life chasing after him, tell him how you feel and if he comes back great if not look for someone else who can love you, take a break from love for a while, and stay a way from your ex's buddy.

He's dumped you so move on in time you will regain your self respect and be really embarrassed for telling him you can't get over him. Your ex has his reasons for finishing it so try to remember the bad bits not just the good and move on.
Just because your friend wants to be with you doesn't mean you have to and it doesn't mean you HAVE to have sex that should only be done between two people who have love & respect for each other

Not the smartest thing to do.
How would you feel if your ex came to you saying that some chick wanted to screw him and be his rebound? pretty shitty..... that's not the way to get him back. Accept that it's over and move on.

Try to avoid your ex.
Be brave.
Enjoy your new friend, only as far as you want.
Let time run its course.

maybe you should tell the "rebound guy" no, and you'll find your ex probably doesn't care... he'll have moved on... :D
