almost every time i drive my car over small bumps and little pot holes, my music stops or pauses for a while, how can i stop this

My recommendation is to just get a new head unit. The new units have pretty great anit-skip features as well as a ton of other extras your old unit doesn't have.
If your current unit is still new, I'd go back on the warranty and have it checked out. The laser may be out of alignment or something.
Also, take it easy on the bumps. Avoid the potholes and don't hit the bumps at 60mph. That's trashing your suspension, and if it's already shot then I suggest you replace that before you ruin another head unit.

Get better shock absorbers for car, maybe time for cd player upgrade with better anti-skip technology.
