Get outside - I'm a strong believer that being outside, particularly in nature can help calm your mind, now that's just personally it may not work for everyone.
Find something that motivates you and take one day at a time. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed, just think okay in the next 10 minutes what would I like to accomplish. If 10 minutes is too much, do it for 5 instead. It's important to try and focus on one thing as opposed to several things, it's a recipe for frustration if you try to take on too much at once.
Feel free to email me if you just need someone to listen. Sometimes getting everything out in the open helps.
You could just write down everything that your worried about and go over the list by each item and ask yourself, will the world come to an end if I don't get this done right now? Or, you can just try to identify the things that you feel you can do right now and make yourself a list based on priority. It helps to have someone go over it with you.
Remember: TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME

I'm very aware of what you're saying. I've a lot of problems myself, anxiety, depression,aggressiveness, seizures and blackouts. The passed 2 and a half years I've had 3 surgeries. 2 because of broken bones from falling the other one was to take out the hardware that was in my left ankle because 1 of the screws were working its way out of my skin. Gross and painful. I get very frustrated because I have a hard time focusing and concentrating. At times I have to take a dose the evening sedative with my morning meds. I'm a crafter and thousands of things going through my mind at a time. I worry about everything all the time for the most part. This new seizure med however has made me feel with more animosity. All of this is very hard to deal with because I was also born an empath. Which is just a fine how do you do. The only thing I can think of to tell you that might help is what I started doing- I make a list of things that I want to achieve during a days time. It doesn't have to be a lot. Just stick to your list and cross off each thing you finish. Start with just small stuff. It won't seem like much, but after a couple of days it'll start making a difference. It's not much but take a bash at because it couldn't hurt.

Welcome to the world of depression, just don't for get before things start to get better it always gets worse. Next time your talking to your doctor, ask about trans cranial magnetic therapy. This is suppose to be great, the only problem there are a few machines and there all booked. My life was destroyed from the word go, I don't know what to say for you. No it doesn't sound silly that you can't get simple things done. To some one who doesn't under stand depression, your a lazy bum. You have a long looong steep hard road ahead of you.
Who ever gave me thumbs down I've been where this person is at.
To z35012 I miss read your sentence, going off meds so I can get some things done. Well if that's the only way to get things done then when you have some thing to do go off of them,when you've completed the task go back on.

Do not allow the rude, negative, pessimistic answers to effect you. Simply ignore them.
I while back, I use to suffer from some depression. Especially when a couple members of my family died. All I thought I had left were memories, and experiences I had with them (ie: camping, cruises, etc.) It was very
challenging to deal with.
We all have various levels of anxieties, depression, worries, and things of that nature to deal with. I will not say, in which what religions, religious beliefs I had gained little help from, but I will share with you that through the daily 10 to 15 min. a day practice of Mindfulness of Breathing Meditation, Insight Meditation, and Shamatha (Lovingkindness)
Meditation, a healing AND a mental transformation has taken place, & will continue to take place. Patience, Kindness, Tolerance, Improved Cognitive Thinking, increased memory concentration and focused is the result and especially a stable mental inner Peace has taken place.
I still do not know all that much, but am always learning.
The forms of meditation I mentioned to you built up my self-esteem, encourages me alot, and most definately helps me in my relationships with other people.
I simply began by doing some searches on the internet on The MIndfulness of Breathing,
Loving-kindness Meditation = "Shamatha Meditation" AND Insight Meditation, and began to put what I learned into practice.
You'll receive many excellent answers, as well as a few, not so encouraging & judgmental type answers.

You need to find a reality check. Someone wise and grounded who can give you that simple test to make sure what you think is right. It should be someone with good judgment. If you are really losing touch, a professional therapist might be a smart idea. If you start checking you ideas, you will learn the right emotional state to make realistic decisions and judgments. when you finial get to were you are on the meds and can do things and get excited about stuff that is the time to think about tapering off. i would
