I would say the main cities-especially London. Often, when charity shops receive expensive products, the products wil be sent to second-hand shops which are for designer goods.

Depends what you are looking for. Often the smallest old people towns have the funkiest & cheapest retro clothes! I find the cities get clued up quicker and charge a more high street price tag which is fine but sometimes the customer is in a "charity stage" themselves.
