As everyone so far has stated, W-2s must be mailed on or before Jan. 31. There are no rules about how long the post office can take to deliver. If you don't receive your W-2 by Feb. 15, contact the IRS at 1-800-TAX-1040.

they have to be handed to you or mailed to you no later than the 31st of this month
