any of these recipes are good, but ive learned that a little more butter can really make cookies better. Next time you make them, use a little extra butter.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Is there anything better than a homemade chocolate chip cookie, fresh out of the oven? Ingredients: 1 cup butter, softened 1/2 cup sugar 1 cup dark brown sugar 2 eggs 2 teaspoons vanilla 2 1/2 cups flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 cups chocolate chips Directions: Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Add vanilla. Mix flour, baking soda and salt together. Gradually add to creamed mixture and stir until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F. for 18 to 24 minutes.

INGREDIENTS
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups butter, softened
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour and baking soda, set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Edges should be golden brown.

I like making cookies from scratch but sometimes it takes to much time so here is what I found. I went to Costco and bought the tub of cookie dough. You can leave it in your fridge and make cookies in like 10 min.! They are really good and easy to make.
Also the trick is to be careful how long you leave them in the oven if you leave them to long they will be really hard to eat. I always time any recepie 1-2 minutes less than the instructions and watch them for the last minute until they are ready.

Look in "Clueless in the Kitchen" by Evelyn Raab.
It's some of the best cookies ever, if you do it right. But the whole book is full of good easy recipies for the "culinary disinclined."
