I am a full time student and I received grants, but that's all the income I've received all year. I'm engaged but won't be married until July 2007. In case you were wondering how I was living. Plus we share 3 children also. So, is it worth filing?

Grants are not income. YOU can't be eligible for an EIC because you had no earned income. The only thing filing would accomplish is letting the IRS know you don't owe them. This is not required in the case you describe. IF you lived with your fiancee for ALL of 2006, it is possible that they may be able to claim you as a dependent. You should probably consult a tax expert on that issue.
