E-Mail messages are digital. An example of an analogue message would be me reading you the message or writing it down by and mailing it to you. E-Mail stands for Electronic Mail. Your characters you put into the computer are 1's and 0's. Each character has an 8-bit value associated with it (at least). This stream of bits travels through the internet to its destination where it is displayed. Completely digital the whole way starting from your keyboard to the other person's video card.

Video phones use a digital signal as well. The camera digitizes the images, digitally compresses them and streams the bytes along the telephone line to the other video phone. Modern day video phones just use webcams and the internet, but they used to use analogue phonelines. Digital signals can travel over analogue means of communications by devices such as modems which MOdulate and DEModulate the digital signal over analogue lines turning those 1's and 0's into specific tones that can be put back into 1's and 0's verbatim on the other end.
