that the people writing those self-same questions or answers have no idea how to use spell-check or are too lazy to use spell-check?

Ah yes, the spell-check fiasco. What can I say but that it is one of the more annoying things about reading some of the Q & A's. I don't think Yahoo could have made it any more simple. You just click and it's done. Maybe it's not so much a matter of not knowing how to use it as is it a matter of people getting so use to the text messaging and all the shortcuts that they just do it here too.
Who knows? The other thing you might have to keep in mind is that there are people from all different countries using this and maybe they aren't familar with English. But then again who knows?

I agree. I think it is ridiculous to write a question and not spell correctly. The same goes for answering questions. I think that they need to go back and learn the basics.

I guess it's laziness but I don't think people realize how silly their questions look to people who know the words are misspelled. Or maybe it is the whole text messaging phenomenon that allows people to think it's okay to misspell words.

too lazy, i am, i always think its a race to answer a question i want to answer, and if somethings wrong im too lazy to modify
