i recently went to the hair salon and had highlights put in, they look horrible. If i dye my hair one solid color over the highlights will the color come out right or will i just have another shade of highlights? Someone told me that dying your hair over highlights will make your hair fail out. help me out here. please.

You're hair will not fall out from dying it over the highlights. The only thing that is going to really hurt your hair is bleaching it constantly. If you don't like the highlights most salons will fix your hair for you if you do not like what they have done. If not you can go to the store and buy a box of color yourself and it will come out just fine. If your highlights are really light then you may have to do the color once and then in a week color it again so that it stays to the hair. I recently colored my hair from a bleach blonde to a chocolate brown and the color has stayed quite nicely.

When playing with hair color, salons and professionals are always the best choice; however, you can dye your hair over highlights. They should pick up a slightly lighter shade in the new color, depending on what color you are applying over the top. What you want to avoid in order not to damage your hair is going to light with the bleach (that will burn and dry it) and doing it too close together. You want to give your hair some time to recoup first. If you use too many chemicals your hair can start to fall out and look crispy. So you just have to be very careful. Going over the highlights once should be fine, but keep in mind that if you don't like your home remedy hairdye, you cannot do it again or you'll damage it. So if you hate what your salon did, go back and tell them. Then they'll fix it, and likely on their own dime!

Well your hair will def. not fall out! If you do dye your hair a solid color again the highlights will come through in a week or less. What you have to do it just keep coloring your hair and over a amount of time it will change. Or you can go to a salon and they can bleach those highlights out and dye your hair to try to keep it from those highlights comming through.

You can dye over the top but you will probably find your hair will still be lighter where the highlights are. If you're dying with a brown, it will be light golden brown where the highlights are.

Ok, your hair will not fall out. And if you if you try to go back to your old solid hair color that will work. My room mate got her highlights done before. She had blond and red highlights in her dark brown hair. When they started growing out she wanted her old color back and therefore dyed it back! And it worked for her. As long as your highlights aren't bleach blond on brown hair, there shouldn't be a problem in putting more chemicals in your hair. Just treat your hair to some good deep conditioning after. Hope this helps.

Your hair is not going to fall out. and it will look fine if you do it yourself, no need to spend a lot of money on getting it professionally done. your wont have another shade of highlights either, but when the dye starts to fade, you might see the highlights a little, but they wont be as noticeable as they are now.

no, its fine. you can dye over highlights, they won't show through...just don't put too many chemicals in your hair or it could dry out...but u could also go back to the salon and ask for a chemical rinse...that takes all of the dye right out of your hair and it will get rid of the highlights. that's so much easier than redying all your hair.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aOexA While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

I prefer hair that will is shoulder length or longer, And also since that men who like females are more often then not directly, they like long hair because that looks more feminine, as most men have short hair.
