Marry her before then and you'll get her to be a citizen.

You don't know how it will work out, period. You haven't even asked her out yet and you're worried where you'll stand in a year. The great part about dating is you're just having fun. Don't approach it as a long-term commitment. See it as an experience, the opportunity to get to know someone and have some fun. If she's an exchange student, she came here to experience something new. It could turn out to be a lot of fun for both of you. If you really like each other, you will find a way to be together. Try not to worry about the future, just worry about next Saturday night! Good luck! :-)

Ask her out and do it now, so you can have as much time to enjoy each other as possible before she goes home. You will enrich eachother's lives more than you can imagine, and have a lot of fun in the meantime.

Don't worry about creating a long-distance relationship until it is one, and when she does go there are lots of ways to maintain contact in this age of technology. If your parents are okay with it, you might visit her in her home country and stay with her family, which would be an amazing and unique experience for you. In college, you get the chance to do study abroad, and nothing would keep you from picking her country to study in (or she might come back and do the same thing).

Good luck!

Perhaps you should define what asking somebody out means. There is a difference between going on a date and having a relationship. First you must ask her out on a date. Go on a date and have fun and share what each other have to offer. You may find that you two are very compatible but, you may also find out that you two are not right for each other. The purpose of any date is to have fun.

Once you date a couple of times then you can start thinking about a serious relationship. So, go ahead and ask her out on a date and have fun.

If you're interested in an exchange student, my guess is that you're obviously in high school. Do you plan to marry the girl? Of course not! So ask her out and if she says yes, enjoy each other. She'll move home and start dating a guy from Norway or Peru or Turkey...or wherever she's from...and you'll have had an enriching dating experience.

that's a really tough one. in the long run it would be better if you didn't ask her out at all becuase u know that she has to go back to her country at the end of the year but then again that is still a long way off and you have only the moment. so i guess you could ask her out despite knowing all this. life is a funny thing and you never know how it will work out.

If you can put your own needs aside, just ask her out so she can experience a date with an American. Exchange students want to experience good things in our country. Be polite, respectful and give up the idea this will be a "relationship". Just have fun and allow her to have fun too.

just do it. How many high shool relationships end in marriage.

Most are shorter term, you enjoy the person and learn about them and yourself and enjoy the chase and the rituals of dating. If it is something really special - well then you will figure that out later.

Just ask her out!! People have made long distance relationships work. All you can do is try. You both know up front that she will have to leave so base the relationship around that. It my turn into love and love can move mountains!!!

Sadly, it might be best not to. If you pursue a relationship, more than likely it will last throughout the duration of the year, and then she'll go back to her old life. If you can accept that, go out and have as much time together as you can. Who knows? Maybe she'll decide to come back someday.

just the way you would ask the one next door. the only thing is to keep in mind that she will go back but who knows she may not if yours blossoms to be real love. Get the courage boy you have nothing to lose and everything to regret if you don't.
