Start with how many days you have off, when you want to travel, where you want to travel, what you like to do and how much money you have.
Then visit one of the many travel sites and check out the deals. Do you homework, sometimes booking flight and hotel separately is cheaper than booking it together ...

To make a great travel itinerary you need to research the place where you are going and see what are there attractions, historic sites, museums, places to eat and excursions. Once you have researched everything that there is to see at the place you are traveling to, cross out the things that are not in your budget or are to expensive for you to do. Then, whatever is left put it in order, so if there is one attraction close to a museum you want to go list them together or next to each other, that way you take advantage of your time and everything in that area. That should help you make your perfect list for traveling!
