I think that it depends on the source. Some people have ruined a name for other people that fall under that category. That is a shame.

I say that if you believe in God, then you should trust in him to guide you in what is right.

I do believe that hell is a powerful place, and one that I never want to be in. Read the Bible if you are really looking for answers. The best answers are the ones that you can find yourself!

They're not lying. They have actually been lied to and believe the lie. But yes, they do use their belief in hell to frighten people into becoming a follower.

Hell was a means for primitive people to scare children into behaving.Heaven to bribe them and console them, where did daddy go, dont worry hes gone to a "better place". Its the same thing we do with Santa and the tooth fairy only most people grow out of believing in Santa
You better watch out, you better not cry
Better not pout, I'm telling you why
Jesus Christ is coming to town

He's making a list and checking it twice
Gonna find out who's naughty and nice
Jesus Christ is coming to town

He sees you when you're sleeping
He knows when you're awake
He knows if you've been bad or good
So be good for goodness sake

Oh! You better watch out, you better not cry
Better not pout, I'm telling you why
Jesus Christ is coming to town

How can they be lying?
They've never seen hell, nor even know if it exists.
The only lie they're telling, is the one they're telling themselves.
