In addition to rosacea, I also have adult acne. Looking for something to keep both at bay.

Try Eucerin Redness Relief....it's a lotion available over the counter. I read about it in Prevention magazine and it really does help though not completely alleviate the redness problem.

As another poster said, try to reduce the amount of refined sugar and flour you are eating. You may want to cut it out completely for a couple of weeks to help your body recover more quickly. It is not the sugar per se causing the acne, but if you eat a high carbohydrate meal your body produces a lot of insulin, and along with it other hormones are released including testosterone, and that can cause excess sebum production and skin aging which contribute to acne. Just google "sugar and acne" and you can read all about what is happening in your body. So, if you must eat something with a lot of sugar (like soda or cake) or white flour, try to have it with complex carbohydrates like vegetables, fruits, or whole grains because they will help lessen the surge of insulin associated with highly refined carbs. The rest of your body will thank you too! After 4 dermatologists, several medications (including accutane) and daily cleansing, this has been the most effective treatment I have used.
