i know there are people that cheat beacuse they are scum and they do it over and over agian and theres no excuse for that but what if someone was just starting out a relationship and then one night went out and slept with someone...at the time they didnt even want to but did nothin to stop it... and even felt fo guilty and told the partner.. why would drive someone to the point to even go ahead and do it with sopping it after it started?

People do not cheat BECAUSE they are scum, but BECAUSE they are not really happy with the one they are with. Scum is what you call them after they cheat. And it doesn't matter if you just met, or you been together for years. When someone cheats why is it that the person that cheated is looked upon as the bad one? What about the persont hat got cheated on/ What did they do, or didn't do that drove the cheater to cheat in the first place. There is no such thing as NOTHING or NO REASON. There is always SOMETHING and always a REASON.

The chemistry that happens at this point is hard to refuse unless positive morals and the thought of the consequences sink in then it would be hard for that person to overcome their physical feelings. A lot of people can't think that far ahead when in that situation and therefore engage without thinking first. You are right though, some people just don't care.

I think the main reason people cheat on their partners is because they can't get their needs met within the relationship. They refuse to talk about it and keep and open door policy between each other and they're not getting what they want! People who cheat will have to deal with the consequences of losing their partner and maybe go their separate ways.

I know I'm going to be the minority here, but people cheat because it is not in human nature to be monogamous. Sure everyone gives it the old college try, but at some point in everyone's life they have or will cheat on a partner. Like it or not, It's just the way things go.

Cheating is a symptom of a troubled relationship, not a disease in itself. People cheat because they feel unfulfilled in the primary realtionship (though they may feel unfulfilled because they have unrealistic expectations). They seek out another, or accept the advances of another, because they hope it will fill the hole they find in the primary relationship.
A cheater can be forgiven and be reunited with his or her partner, if the relationship is repaired to the satisfaction of both. But if it is not and the problems are still there, one or both of them will stray again.

People cheat for different reasons. Some do it because of influences in their lives. Some do it, for selfish reasons; greed, ones not enough. Some do it because of insecurities within themselves. Some do it to see if they can get away with it. Some do because they are lonely in their present relationship. Some do it for revenge. Some do it out of stupidity. But if you notice out of all the reasons not a single one of them is a good one. So have you figure out which category the person you're talking about fits in?

The only reason people cheat is because their partner is lacking in something so therfore they go to another person to full feel that need that their partner lack in. If your partner is not spontaneous, exciting or whatever you want in a relationship in you love that person and don't wanna lose that person they are going to find it in another person.

Its basically because there scum, or because they are too drunk to realise, if someone cheats early in a realtionship, the new partner should be forgiving, because it could be a honest mistake

Sometimes, if it's offered to you - no strings attached (particularly for men - sorry but true !) they will take it and it will genuinely mean nothing - and when they say it just happened it literally just did happen - no feelings involved - I think the pre-meditated affair is harder to forgive - but a one night mistake should not necessarily mean the end of the relationship.

I think people cheat b/c they want what they can not have and think the grass is green on the other side. I have never cheated and would be heart broken if i was cheated on.
