Christ Jesus--He was no God-man and yet set us the best example for any us humans to try to be like ,with no reservations.
--What other human on earth ever set such an example?
--What human could we follow without hesitation and have the full confidence that he would never mislead us--as have so called "christians" like Jim Jones, Koresh.?
--Or many of the hypocritical religious leaders of our day. whether they be hiding sexual sins or playing christian for the money they are reeking in the monies and glory?
--What human could we be sure would pass all the tests as Jesus, being not only faithful to God, but suporting his fellow humans to the last without any compromise-?--please note:
(1 Peter 2:21-25) “21Â In fact, to this [course] YOU were called, because even Christ suffered for YOU, leaving YOU a model for YOU to follow his steps closely. 22Â He committed no sin, nor was deception found in his mouth. 23Â When he was being reviled, he did not go reviling in return. When he was suffering, he did not go threatening, but kept on committing himself to the one who judges righteously. 24Â He himself bore our sins in his own body upon the stake, in order that we might be done with sins and live to righteousness. And “by his stripes YOU were healed.” 25Â For YOU were like sheep, going astray; but now YOU have returned to the shepherd and overseer of YOUR souls.”
--A word of caution, if you decide to take ideas from sources like the DaVinci Code movie--please realize that these have very little backing from the true biographers of Christ who lived with him and saw his life & lifestyle as found in the Bible.
The following reference from a book that traces Jesus life course on earth, is one I recommend highly. It is referrenced with the web page of Jehovah's Witnesses from where you can obtain unbiased information of his life or obtain a no cost copy.
*** gt The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived ***
Answering such skeptics(doubting the existence of Christ--my comment), the respected historian Will Durant argued: “That a few simple men should in one generation have invented so powerful and appealing a personality, so lofty an ethic and so inspiring a vision of human brotherhood, would be a miracle far more incredible than any recorded in the Gospels.”

That is a loaded question. Especially when asked in the religious section. You know very well that everyone here is going to choose their own religious prophet or say that its a crock.
You don't know everyone that ever existed. You can't know everyone that ever existed. Therefore, saying that any one person is better than any other person is just plain idiotic.

Pope John Paul, whatever # he was. I'm not Catholic, actually I'm agnostic, but I think it was amazing how he was able to reach out to people of other religions. So many people in the world "loved" him, even non-Catholics. He did some pretty amazing stuff and was well-respected. Although, his cracks about American weren't much appreciated. You can't win em all I guess.

Jesus Christ.
Bill Bright, among many, many others, has noted Him as the most influential person of history in at least one of his books.
