Any one know what they are? I know in Nebraska you cannot even spank your child on the behind with your hand or you can be sent to jail.

i am not sure any state can tell you how to raise your child and if you can or cant spank them...i think what you are thinking of is something else.....of course you can beat them so you break stuff or leave big bruises or marks but if you spank correctly that shouldn't happen.....i think spanking is a good idea and if you think they need it go for it....no state and no person can tell you what is good for your child....but if you are unsure just look up your state on their home page.

I live in NE and where is it written that you can't spank your child or go to jail! I know you can't leave marks on his / her body without CPS coming and paying a visit! The only law I know of in NE is that you can't spank foster children...but I believe that rule applies to whatever state you live in!

I posted every state's child abuse laws. No state outlaws spanking unless done in abusive fashion. Each state defines "abuse" differently, mostly it means, spankings must be done on the bottom, and you can't leave permanent marks on your children, other then temporary redness.

Beside, how can they make it a law if its behind closed doors and no one knows? I dont spank, my kids are too young yet, but I think its stupid to pass this kind of law.

There is no law (currently) in the US that outlaws spanking. California is trying to get it banned but it'll never happen.

i honestly dont think that they will find out unless you do it in public like some really stupid people do. And i feel that people/laws shouldnt tell you how to raise your child. If you feel that he/she needs a beatin then give them one. But you can google it and it will probably come up.

i think that the whole no spanking law is stupid that is why kids are on the streets instead of home.
