The Adventure of the Seas is one of Royal's newer ships and quite large. I have read mixed reviews from people simply due to the fact of the size of the ship. Some people prefer a little smaller one. We actuallly just looked at this same ship and cruise but we decided on the Radiance of the Seas that leaves from Ft. Lauderdale going to San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Nassua, etc. We leave on March 3. Go to www.cruisecritic.com and there you can read oodles of reviews on just the Adventure ship alone. We found that website to be extremely helpful. People who have taken the exact same cruise, ship and stops can tell you of their experience.
I hope your wife decides to go. This is my first cruise and my fiancee's 2nd so I know we are both excited and it cannot come soon enough.

WE are doing a RC cruise to the Southern Caribbean out of PR in May also. Not sure if we are doing the same ship. But consider this. RC has some of the best ships of all of the cruise lines and their food and service is great. You are going at a perfect time of the year as it will not be as hot as later in the summer and you will be outside the hurricane season. You will probably have at least two "at sea" days when you can just relax on ship and not worry about tours or sightseeing. You will get to islands in the lower caribbean that many cruises do not reach.

The prices we found for their cruises was also great; we booked out online.

We have been on many RC ships and always enjoy everything.

The food is great, the entertainment is amazing. Take the route that goes to Curacao, it's the best one. I cant wait to go again and I hope u guys have a great trip
