Hello all!! My daughter is 2 yrs old and she gets sick alot. She once had an upper respiratory infection. Well everytime she gets sick, she gets ear infections. I mean I just took her to the doctors 2wks ago and they prescribed her antiobiotics for an ear infection. We live in Florida so the weather is very ify. Some days its 70 degrees and some days its 45 to 50 degrees. Well guess what she is sick again and complaining about her ear.

To get to the point, does anyone recommend the plugs to prevent ear infections? I dont know the medical terminology!!!

Well, if it a reoccuring ear infection then yes I reccomend them highly.... My son for the past 2 winter had 7 ear infections in 3 months.. We got tubes on his ear a month and a half ago, and he hasn't been sick since... which is great because it is rough takeing care of a child who is sick 90% of the time with 104 fevers puking and all that... And the pros outweigh the cons any day.. They say that there is a 30% chance that they will still get ear infections, but if they dom they won't get sick.. the infection just drains right out the tube... and tyou might have to get ear plugs, because they can;t get water in their ears, but if you are bathing her with a cup of water over her head, then they said that was fine... Other than that there are no bad things about it!!! Make sure you check with the doc about complications.. My son ear nose and throat doc has been doing tubes in small children for 10 years, and had not ever had any complications with the tubes or the anethesia... The procedure itself take about 30 minutes from the time they take him back until they wake up.. then you sit with them in the recovery room for about an hour, and then they send you home with instructions on care and stuff. It is easy and no big deal.. I was nervous at first because they have to put the child to sleep, but I am sooooo glad we did it!!!

Im not an expert about this but i will tell you what happened to me. My story is just about the same as yours, ear infection after ear infection, I rember when the doctor told me about the plugs i was terrified. I started asking around just like you and every one i talked to told me to wait it out as long as i could go to different doctors get there advise and if all arrorws still point to the plugs, well then they must do somthig right. Well i ended up holding out on the plugs through a few ear infections and what do you know its been TWO years and bot one ear infection. So point is dont jump into it get second thoughts and wait it out just a while.

I think your talking about ear tubes and i would personally not recommend them. I am almost 16 years old and i had 1 put in my right ear 2-3 years ago and i have had problems with my right ear ever sinced.

She would first have to go through the surgery which is scary for 2 year old.

Then she would have to go through wearing ear plugs (they are rubber things people put in their ears to prevent water from getting in their ears) while swimming, taking a bath or doing anything in the water for a while. Its been 2-3 years (maybe more) since i have had ear tube surgery and i still have to wear ear plugs.

Anyways its all up to you but whatever you decided good luck!!

that is conceivable to get undesirable cord or undesirable spark plugs or the incorrect spark plugs. it isn't that person-friendly with the help of, that is extra person-friendly to get the incorrect spark plugs or blend up the spark plug wires. yet you may't bypass over cord merely one spark plug cord, and with the coil packs consistent with cylinder you may really ought to artwork to bypass over cord it. So i'm assuming that you've a Ford Explorer with a rotary distributor, and both a 6 or 8 cylinder engine. tell your husband the challenge and performance him recheck his artwork. Get out your vendors guide and make effective you've the right spark plug on your motorcar. ascertain that the spark plugs are ideal and securely equipped, that the spark plug wires are securely equipped, and that the wires are stressed out to the right plug. relying on what 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of ford you've this should be really basic to do yet you may ought to understand the firing order. Get a fix guide from the library or seem it up with the help of the internet regularly the firing order could have a diagram that coach how the spark plug cord run. If all seems so as or that is previous our ability then visit a respected storage or ford dealership. you don't want to force if avoidable, you would possibly want to reason extra extreme damage. best of success

I have a friend who's son got tubes in his ears and he still had ear infections. They had to redo his tubes 2 or 3 times and he was late talking. My sister in-law's son has tubes and they had to redo his once, but while the were redoing his tubes they took his adenoids out because they were swollen and causing fluid to be blocked in his ears.. He's not had and ear infection since. So I guess it varies per child.. I would ask your doctor.
