Depends on few factors: 1) The person must not be anyone else's qualifying child. 2) either (a) have lived with the taxpayer all year as a member of his/her household or (b) be related to the taxpayer. 3) have gross income less than $3,300 and 4) the taxpayer must provide more than half of the person's total support for the year.

It feels like they could declare you, which will likely end once you both attain age 24, or are not in college finished time for a minimum of 5 months of the three hundred and sixty 5 days any extra. There are 2 forms of dependents, qualifying children and qualifying kinfolk. you're likely a qualifying infant. yet that would not recommend they nonetheless get a baby tax credit for you, or a stimulus charge - that forestalls at age 17.

No.

Unrelated people must live with you the entire year to be a dependent and, even then, it would depend on what state you are in. In certain states it is illegal for two unmarried people to live together. The law is not enforced but it does invalidate any dependency claims.

No. If he had lived with you ALL year you might have been able to, but otherwise, no.
