People that cheat never shouldve cheated in the first place. They will always have the urge to.. and obviously they are thinking about other people than yourself. Once a cheater is always a cheater.. My EX husband cheated the first time in our marriage and I gave him a second chance and a 2nd chance and a 3rd chance... so my opinion is none they dont learn from there mistakes... lol I finally divorced him and I am much more happier.

I think they can, but not if they have a history of cheating not only on their lovers, but on other things as well. That does show a certain pattern. A woman who cheats on a man who has cheated on her, may be doing it for other reasons such as to get even, or to reaffirm her attractiveness after his perfidy. If he had been faithful she would have remained faithful too. That is not indicative of what we usually think of as a serial cheater. But a man with a history of cheating on all his women at one time or another is not to be trusted, he makes his own excuses and justifies his behavior at his discretion or his whim.

A couple of summers ago, I had a fling with a German guy who was in town on business. He had a girlfriend back home in Germany waiting for him. And guess what? He was 52 years old! As you said, age has nothing with maturity, but one would think that one would come with the other.

Yes i cheated a couple of times when I was in my teens but I grew up and realized how terrible it was to do that to somebody you supposedly cared about. Like I said I was a teenage boy just looking to get laid and didnt really think about anything else (typical teenage male). However I havent been a teenager for 5 years and since then I have never done it to anybody else. I was stupid and insensitive back then. I regret putting my "partner" through that.

No I don't. People change, and if they cheated before they met you, you might not understand fully the circumstances that caused them to cheat. With age comes maturity. And by cheating do we mean cheating on a spouse? Because to me, if you aren't married then the idea of "cheating" seems unfounded.

i like the concept that people can change but i also beleive that actions speak louder than words. people and swear up and down til they turn blue they aren't a cheater anymore but until they prove i can trust them i wont. and if i can't trust someone it won't last.
