I have trouble staying focused when I'm in a conversation with my girlfriend. She just seems to go off a 1,000 miles an hour and I can't keep up with her. When she tells a story, she gives me ALL the details. As a result, I forget the main point sometimes because I'm busy trying to follow her lengthy explanation. As a result, she gets frustrated when I ask her something sometimes because she'll remind me how she already told me, etc, etc. Is there something wrong with me? I really want to listen to her and be receptive, but she sure doesn't make it very easy. Maybe, I'm being selfish. I don't know.

Communication is key...you need to tell her it's hard to follow her stories because of all the minute detail.
Alternatively, you could get one of those "Wrap it Up" signs like on the Chappell Show.

It's not you.... she talks to much for a man to follow. Men are thinkers in general and when a woman gives you too much information, then they can't comprehend. (Not all men)... Women, not all, tend to talk 4x more than men.

When she gets angry at her for not listening, just tell her you got distracetd by her beauty or some crap like that.
