Is Lebanon heading on the path to a civil war many have been killed or injured in the past few days with violent protesting and violence. Will these protests and violence continue everyday now and will it lead to a full blown civil war and will the Lebanese government in place now be toppled by Hezbollah terrorists? What will we do if Hezbollah takes over the government?

I'm not sure what we should do, but if Hezbollah took over Lebanon, Israel would be in a world of hurt.

As you know, Hezbollah is controlled, trained, and funded by Iran, so I'm sure you can see the dangerous implications of that.

I can't see us really "doing" anything. Hezbollah has been really good at getting funding to help the poor people, endearing themselves to much of the population. The Lebanese people were all about getting rid of Syria so they could stand on their own, but Hezbollah is doing its best to make certain that Lebanon does not become to great an ally to the West. They have insinuated themselves into Lebanese politics, then walked out in legitimate protest, crippling the government.

All this time, Hezbollah, an internationally recognized terror group has been part of the Lebanese government. I had no idea until Lebanon and Israel clashed over the 2 soldiers they took hostage. This has all been provoked by Iran, using the excuse of the US and UK in Iraq.

This is all a very ugly situation, made worse by the press and the appeasement of western governments. (like our own)

I don't think so because the Lebanese have learned from their past. The solution in Lebanon is to make hezbollah less powerful as he is trying to destroy Lebanon by all means. He made the war last summer, and this year he made those riots, what else does he want, hezbollah is not even Lebanese they ae iranis let them leave Lebanon and fight their war in iran.

the indications are no, there won't be a civil war. no one in Lebanon wants it and after a 30 years civil war we know that noone can win it.
But Hezbollah is taking orders from Iran and Syria. the latter wants nothing more than to get back in Lebanon. so to what extend is Nasrallah autonomous and how much is he ready to obey his masters remains to be seen.

Lebanon had already been into a long civil war from 1975-1992. It is very likely to happen again.
