In the last local election for the race for governor, the question of should we withdraw our troops from Iraq was on the ballot. Now we are to send 21,500 more additonal troops to this region. Saddam is no longer in power, and Bin Laden has not been found.
why arent we looking for the person that blew up the World Trade Center? why not let the Iraqi people deal with Iraq, and let Americans deal with America?

You know why we can't let the Iraqi people deal with Iraq, it is because they can't. The Iraqi people at this time do not possess the ability to control their country without our help. If we withdraw I hope you enjoy watching that country fall apart, with over 3000 soldiers deaths serving no purpose at all. I believe that if we withdraw, many terrorists will come out of Iraq, and possibly harm us here. We are going to have peace even if we have to fight for it.

We know who was behind the attacks on the WTC. It was George H.W. Bush. Thats why we aren't looking for the person responsible, we have already found him!

What were the results of that ballot measure by the way? The one about withdrawing the troops. Not sure exactly what a local ballot measure was supposed to do in relation to the Federal stance on having the troops there.

The president has the power to send troops anywhere in the world for 90 consecutive days. Unfortunately that number of days gets significantly greater the longer the congress chooses to fund the deployment. So we still have troops thereso long as the congress chooses to fund it.... Sgt. Stewart

We took down the last government and military in Iraq. It has now become our responsibility to make sure the new government and military can support themselves. Once that is assured, we can begin leaving.
