Which is better for leak proofing. maintenace and easy installation? Shower Pan or Tiled Floor

I have seen some beautiful tile floors on the internet but I wonder about the durability of the grout to withstand twice daily showers. I plan on living in the home for many years and would hate to have water or termite problems. This is for a 2nd floor shower.

Shower pans are easier to install but,a good install on a walk in shower is a lifetime of heavy use. There are materials we use that are totally waterproof and can be used with just about any tile application where waterproof is a necessity.
There are also epoxy grouts made that are practically bulletproof. They will not stain and they will not fail with age or use.At least not for a loooong time. That guy is right about most tile setters being bone heads. They normally get paid by the square foot so,speed is of the essence.Usually at the expense of quality. They just want paid so they can go screw up another job somewhere else.

MOST TILE SETTERS ARE KNOT HEADS & DON'T KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY DO TILE FLOORS W/O LEAKS...
ROYAL BATH IN HOUSTON, TX MAKES A REALLY NICE ACRYLIC PAN, NO STAINS ( EXCEPT PURPLE PRIMER....
FOR MASS PRODUCTION WITH FEW PROBLEMS USE A GOOD PAN! I HAVE WORK WITH PLUMBERS THAT USED THE CHEAP FIBERGLASS PANS & IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!
