I posted my application for a new driving licence last friday expecting to wait for ages like with my passport (that took nearly 4 weeks to come)
Got home from work tonight and here it is!
Is this a record or has anyone else got theirs back as quick if not quicker?

I'm not trying to be funny Lola, but this government seems to be giving out licence's to anybody that requests one!
Send in three Shredded Wheat carton lids and you'll probably get one!
The driving standards are appalling in this country and something desperately needs to be done to halt the amount of lunatics on the roads.
I am NOT suggesting you fall into this category Lola.

I got a replacement in a week despite a postal holiday that probably delayed the mail by a day or two.

A personal record for me because usually it take at least 2 weeks in California!

By post it is quick. You can get in on the same day if you call to the d.v.l.c.
