I bought a queen size bed this morning. The store I bought it in (Matress Direct) had headboards but they were all fancy, decorative models for 200 or more dollars. Isn't there somewhere I can go to get a simple headboard for 50 to 60 dollars. I live in Las Vegas.

You can also check a salvage place. Depending on the look you're going for, you may find an old garden gate or a mantel that needs a home. Both would look great if you're going for a cottage-type look.

If you're going for something more modern, you could get a piece of plywood and spray glue some batting to it. Then cover the whole thing with a piece of fabric you love. You could just hang it on the wall.

If you think outside the "traditional" headboard, I'm sure you could find something you love that wouldn't be very expensive. Plus it would be unique.
