I have curly/frizzy hair and I straighten mine everyday, ~HOWEVER~ I really screwed up at first, because I didn't take care of it at all so don't make the same mistake I did, and you should everyday after showering put a leave-in conditioner in it, put a conditioning mask in it atleast once a week, (if you use mayonaise and eggs in your hair that's a good cheap alternative to having to buy one) and get regular trims. Use a heat-protectant spray as well. Also on days you aren't going anywhere and are just staying around the house don't straighten your hair give it a rest.

It's best not to as you are damaging your hair, I have used Boots permanent straightener (like a perm but in reverse)on my hair so that I don't have to use my straighteners as much. It's a long job and best done with a friend, it only costs £15 and is well worth the money. Also there are salon treatments that are pricey about £200.00 I think that straighten your hair with some sort of conditioner and do wonders for your hair. If you don't fancy either of those I would recommend Lee Stafford Heat protection spray and try to leave it a day or two in between straightening x

if you use a heat protecting spray on your hair it is safe to keep on with it i have been doing it for 2 years every day i use the pink Lorelle shampoo and conditioner that is advertised on the TV and a heat protection spray and my hair is soft and shiny and in good condition an i am a hair dresser as well so i know what can damage your hair if you don't use a good conditioner and shampoo and a ceramic spray then it will dry out your hair and it can cause the hair to brake don't keep them in one place start from the top and in one motion glide down to the tip this way the heat is not kept in one place to Long

after time it will damage it, youll find that u HAVE to do it or ur hair looks rubish, best thing to do once a week is put loads of conditioner on ur hair leave it on for as long as u can, then rinse my hairdresser says this will help the pigments in ur hair to strenghen and your hair will look better, also try to protect it by using products befor drying and straightening, but they dont have to be expensive the cheap ones just do the same job.

Try to have a break from using them every weekend, or at least one day a week, and try to do an intensive treatment on this day off.

You wont notice it at first, but it's surprising how quickly your hair'll dry out with regular straighening.

Get regular trims too to stop your hair from getting nasty spilts ends.

All that said, I'm surprised how shiny ceramic straigheners make your hair! I must admit, I've become addicted!

I would say through experience no way. I personally have tried different products to accompany the straighteners and all end up damaging my hair, so try to back off your dependency if you have started using them no matter what the salon may try to sell you it just is not good for your hair, truely.

Hi yes as long as your hair is in its same condition as it was before you started using you hair straigteners then i suppose it will be safe for you. But in the long run no as the heat damages the hair and it becomes brittle and snaps of. My hair is brittle and dry but i have to use the straigteners to make my hair feel smooth and soft. But you will know when it is time to stop straigtening as you hair will go thinner and loose its texture. but aslong as you use a good shampoo and conditioner leave in conditioner and a heat protection spray then you hair should stay in good condition.

its not good for your hair to use straighteners daily, by doing this it starts to dry your hair out! i use straighteners daily and i notice the ends of my hair are so dry and after a while i get split ends. also i dye my hair and have noticed the colour fades quicker by using my straighteners. try to use a straightening balm to condition your hair whilst using them!

You can straighten it everyday as long as you use very good conditioners and as long as you take one day from the week and let it have a break.

Any styling is dmamging to hair so the more you do it the more damaging it is. Use a protectant and trim your hair regularly and it will look fine. But your hair will not look healthy unless you cut down a bit.
