the russians and muzzies would side with china - the third world would be a mix of different alliances - probably chavez in venezuela and castro in columbia would side with the yellow elephant -
' Yellow Elephant ' that is what the British called the Chinese a hundred years ago and the opium was the only thing that kept them down because there was always the fear that the yellow elephant would rise up. We can see the yellow elephant on the rampage today and our stupid business leaders feed them and make them more powerfull to make a buck off cheap labour. Malcolm X himself said the chinese would be the next world rulers. Back to the alliances
U.S.A > Britain , France, Canada , Western Europe and Cental Europe, Southern Europe, South Korea, Japan , a mix of other asian countries and african countries along with south american and of course israel would be there on the side of the west
China > russia, north korea, the middle east, venezuela, cuba, and a mix of different asian countries - some african
as long as it stayed conventional the west would win - if it went nuclear then no one would - south korea would be obliterated and possibly japan -
china has lots of infantry and artillery but would not be able to get air supremacy even with the soviets helping them - the air forces of the west are the best in the world and so the asian and russian ground forces would be wiped out eventually - they would wipe out south korea as seoul is only an hours drive from the north korean border and there are only 30 000 GIs there and 600 000 south korean soldiers against an army of over a million north koreans and several million chinese infantry - its a small area and would be one of the major kill zones in a war against the west -

Never happen. China is a nation of aging men, since the 1 policy the ideal chinese family is a man, woman and a male child. as a result there were too many girls aborted to make way for sons. this policy was introduced in the 1970s/80s so now instead of war and expansion the average Chinese is thinking of all the thigs the avearge 30+year old thinks of... IE lining his pockets.. The fact is the pacific would have to bve traversed to make war with the US and we have the worlds best Navy... Good luck China. As far as a nuclear conflict... Its bad for buisness, and the Chinese discovered they like money... Look for trade war before shooting war.

I'm surprised to see Saudi Arabia popping up as supporting China, in this discussion. I personally would've thought Saudi Arabia would be on the side of the West - I mean Western manufacturers provide them with plenty of technology and training. Saudi Arabia seem to provide the West with bases (In the First Gulf War, unsure about the current Iraq War), to help strike Iraq.
Some other countries in the middle east may also support the 'west', such as Jordan.

I think the western world would win, China's military is large but the are probably comparable to our military of the 70's in the technology area.
I think maybe you would see The U.S., England, Australia, Japan,Canada,Italy, and Mexico for sure on one side China, would rely on help from the some of the third world nations of South and Central America and Africa. Germany,France, and Spain would probably stay home. The former Soviet Union would be the wild card.
Saudi Arabia and the OPEC nations would probably go with who they think would best protect them from the other side.
The scary part of the whole senerio is that if it ever happened, I think if China saw no other way of winning they would nuke.

This is a difficult one. Back in c1949, the CIA backed Mao Tse Tung, the Chinese Communist leader. If the CIA still backs China today, they're not going to be very co-operative in the intelligence department.
In plain English in a simple conventional stand up war, the Chinese People's Liberation Army, would win hands down easily.
How many soldiers do you have in your army? A million? Five Million? Ten Million? No matter how many you have, your army could not begin to outnumber the soldiers of China.
You die Tommy and so do you bad Yankee soldier.

USA/UK would take the leading role. Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, S Korea, Australia, New Zealand would join with us. India could well assist - they have excellent armed forces, but they do share a land border with China. Russia sells a lot of military hardware and technology to China, so they may well sit on the fence, as they will prosper whoever is the victor.
Currently, China, despite her massive forces, could not fight their way out of a wet paper bag. Their equipment is two generations out of date, by and large, and they have minimal blue water naval capability. Keep on buying the Chop Suey.

The west would win.
FACT.We just increase the price of oil and timber.
China is not a communist country anymore. With 1.3 billion people to feed, life is cheap and you need communist methods to keep them in check. Can you imagine the average chinese with a car, morgage dog, cat and 2.4 children.Thats where they are heading.Their economy needs huge amounts of finite resourses THAT they can't sustain. When the price of oil, steel and timber go up where are they going to get it from. The rainforrests of indonesia are nearly gone and just 1% of the redwood forests remain in america.
We block there imports.(usa,europe)
Game over.
But militarily.A massive ground assasult combined with air and see power would see the usa and europe win a surrender in 5 weeks.
Then as occupying troops what do you do get shot at for 5 years until you pull out.

any country that does not like America will prob side with china, eg Iran and all those other muppets linked to Iran! so unless the whole of Europe and Russia sided with America then china would prob win.
