You can go to any Humane Society and rescue a perfectly healthy kitten and give it a home!

I would go to a humane society (I assume they have those in Canada) and adopt an adult cat. You know that kittens will always find homes. However, there are so many adult cats that need loving homes. To me, an adult cat is just as wonderful as a kitten. They are cute and funny and adorable in their own ways. Many adults are very playful as well. Plus they are already litter trained!

I know that humane societies don't usually have free adoption, but the money that you give them is used to help other cats as well. Another place to try is local veterinarians. Depending on if they had to spend a lot on medical care for a cat or not, they may not charge anything for the cat.

I feel like an ad or something, but I honestly believe the adults are just as awesome as kittens!

You can alway put an add in the paper or you can check with your local vet. Some vets have bulletin boards that people post free pets and stuff like that. Good luck and I hope this helped.

Just look in the freepress or wpg sun. There's lots in there also try the buy and sell. Human society may have some on sale real cheap right now to.

Try going to craigslist.com

I searched there every few days until I finally found my two kittens that I got from a lady who posted on craigs! And they were free!

Another place to look would be in your local newpaper, sometimes they even have a website you can visit to their classifieds pets section...
