Amen, sister. Hell is a reality and to deny that is to deny reality.

I have been a catholic Christian for more than 60 years now, and yes there is a hell alright and it is right here on earth, Christ was sent here to give us a message and that was all, there is only one that can save you if you feel you need saving, and that is God himself, the bible has to many conflicting stories in it to believe in it;s entirety, Is not a wise thing to do, the bible has a greater chance of being a myth rather than factual, simply because it was men that wrote it after the fact, so I say to you trust in God, and forget this sin and hell stuff, and try and live a Honourable life be true to "God"and be true to yourself, may God bless you.

Sorry, but you lose your case in the last part of your argument. You've achieved Biblianity.
Even according to the bible, Jesus did not say "Come to me all who labour, and have got your theology absolutely correct, and I will give you rest."
Christianity IS divided on the fate of the dead unbeliever: final reconciliation after death, extinction, or everlasting damnation (torment or exclusion of all goodness.) Nowhere is that belief associated with being necessary for salvation.
If it's any reassurance, I think the last option *is* the historic teaching of the majority of Christian leaders, right OR wrong.

Yes, I believe in a literal hell. However I don't look at God as a God of chance, or offers, or the glossed-over inconsistency of sugary love followed by immediate wrath at death. Hate to burst your bubble, but God chooses his own, and has predestined them from before the foundations of the world. The unregenerate are left in their sins. The God I worship is fully capable -- and effective(!) in bringing his own unto himself.

I am a Christian who believes in hell but not the popular opinion about hell. I believe what the Bible teaches about hell.
The reason why some Christians have different views is because they are at different levels of understanding when it comes to the Bible.
The Bible does not teach that God will give the unrighteous immortality so that they can spend billions of milleniums in flames of fire. It just is not there. It is also a misrepresentation of the character of God.
If you can prove from the Bible that God will give eternal life to the unrighteous so that they can burn throughout the endless cycles of eternity I will send you a money order for $300.00 dollars or more. Just post your proof here or email to me with your home address so that I can forward the money to you.
The gift of eternal life or immortality can only be bestowed by God and has only been promised to the righteous.
The Bible teaches that the unrighteous will perish in the lake of fire along with Satan, death and even hell itself.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The parable of Lazarus and the rich man is often used to support the false teaching of eternal damnation. Many people make the mistake of forming a teaching from one passage or one verse in the Bible. According to the rest of the Bible....
1. The righteous are not taken by angels to Abraham's bosom
after death while the wicked are buried
2. Heaven is not in Abraham's bosom.
3. A person in hell does not have communication with a person in
heaven.
4. The unrighteous are destroyed in the lake of fire along with the
devil, death and hell itself.
IT IS A PARABLE. Notice this verse concerning how Jesus related to the multitudes....
Matthew 13:34 All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:
Mark 4:34 But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.
Those who perish in the lake of fire will be destroyed because of their unfitness for heaven.
In order to be prepared to live in heaven a person must have a Christlike character.
A Christlike character is the only kind of character that can enjoy heaven and the only kind of character that can be trusted in heaven.
We can have this kind of character before we die by receiving God's grace through prayer each day of our lives and striving against the selfishness of our sinful nature as we keep our eyes fixed upon the beauty of Christ's character.

--Were you aware of the fact that Jesus was in hell for about 3 days?
--What sin did he committ to be burned even for 3 days?-
KJV--Acts 2:
22Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know.........:
23Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.....
27Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption."
--Now if you are talking about idea of Sheol, Hades--which are the Hebrew & Greek words for the common grave, pit --these have been wrongly translated as hell, there is no reference to a burning area that God places unrepentent sinners.
--So again if you insist on saying hell is hellfire, then what was Christ doing there?
Note other Bibles that do not use hell as hellfire:
New Living Translation
Acts 2:27 "For you will not leave my soul among the dead[c]or allow your Holy One to rot in the grave."
American Standard Version
Acts 2:27 "Because thou wilt not leave my soul unto Hades, Neither wilt thou give thy Holy One to see corruption"
You need to examine what Jesus taught, not the interpretation of what he taught. There is a difference--Hellfire is not a Biblical teaching, God is not a perversion that carries out perversions.

There is convincing evidence that what the bible is referring to by "hell" is really "the grave". It means the literal dirt grave and you would not be conscious after death. The word "hell" is old english and was the translation of "sheol" in Hebrew which actually means "grave". Look up "hell grave" in google and you will see.

i agree with you!!! if there was no punishment for our unforrgiven sins then there would technically be no reward... so in other words there has to be a hell for those who don't make it to heaven or everyone would just go to heaven.
