Yes..only using the letters on the 'left hand' side of the keyboard...and the 'right.'

Since all of the other questions are pretty much covered, I'll tackle the last two.

gives the suggestions for the longest word in English language (you did ask for a word typed with one hand, but that does not mean that we can not use one hand to type every single letter on the keyboard ;) ).

As for the last question, try the word "tsktskings" (as in, at least two people making tsktsk sounds; you can find it in the Chambers Dictionary). If you take a look at the word, you'll see that the ratio is 9-1. :)
