The "Jet" was one of the greatest Martial Art competitors of or time, he was the only fighter to hold titles in 3 or 4 weight classes at the same time and if I'm correct the only one to hold 7 championship titles also at the same time.

Sorry I don't have the time to go through thousands of old Karate magazines but, you should try and do an engine search on him to find his Bio. I read an article about him in the toughest fights of his career...against a 400 (or close to it) man in Hawaii. A must read for any Martial Artist.

See if you can find a copy of "The Aisian World of Martial Arts" by Al Thomas, it is well worth looking into and you'll see the JET in action.

NOTE: THE JET CENTER..I believe it is his gym look it up and maybe you'll find the M/A Champ.

I hope this information was helpful.

I think you mean Benny The Jet Urquidez. He was a kickboxer/full contact karate fighter.

He was a pretty impressive dude, he has been in a lot of movies as well. The below wiki link should tell ya everything you need to know.

Hope that helps!

*edit* Sorry, you were asking a question in the Martial Arts section, naturally I thought you were talking about a Martial Artist.
