Brown sugar is the same as white sugar without some cane juice removed, or molasses added, depending on the process.
I like honey in my tea, but sugar in my baking.

each has its own time and purpose for usage. plain white refined is cheapest and easiest to find followed by brown sugar in cooking recipes. honey is interchangeable in most recipes tastes good and mixes well in most diets. maple syrup or sugar is probably the tastiest but comes with a price to match in that its the most expensive, and some times hard to find off season, i like all four, but probably good old bee spit on my ice cream and apple sauce isthe best of all

refined sugar is the worst for your body. For centuries, honey was the main sweetener. Refined sugar cane has brought on a lot of diseases that used to be a lot more rare. Like type II diabetes.

It depends on what I'm using it with e.g. brown sugar on Shredded Wheat, but not in my tea or coffee etc.
