I'm off to New York on Sat and want to take something to eat for my NY office colleagues....any ideas? something that's not too expensive, will remind ppl of UK and can be bought easily.

A bullet proof vest. What ever you take don't take food. I did once, took my lunch for a stop over and get arrested for it! I kid you not. Don't get deported over a marmite sandwich. Its difficult to explain it to people.

Some Cornish pasties, easily microwaved in NY. A meal in themselves, take a bottle of Daddies sauce to go with it.

The other guy is right, we do not crave much in the food section of the UK , bringing Cuban cigars may be illegal at the customs!

It's definitely all about candy. If you can find any of those Kinder eggs, I love those and they're hard to find here. (I hear they're actually illegal to sell in the U.S. because the little toys inside are considered choking hazards.)
