Hey dude, I like your style. I dont know about satan but parts of the Bible could have been written for power struggles.

For example, around the 7th century B.C. there was a continuous power/political struggle between pagans (believed in many gods) and monotheists (believed in one God). A monotheist king, King Josiah, had a Temple repaired in an attempt to convert people to praise Yahweh (the one God). Conveniently, the extensive repairs resulted in the discovery of ancient transcripts of Moses' last sermon which is today's Deuteronomy and the source of the Jewish profession of faith. Of course, these transcripts declare Yahweh as the ONLY god and if other gods are worshiped then they will lose God's favor. This discovery made a shift in power in favor of King Josiah becasue a large part of the population believed it and backed the King.

So it wouldn't surprise me that the "word of God" were distorted or even sometimes created to use in power struggles between different States at the time. Maybe this is why some things just dont relate to today's complications.

So maybe Satan had a hand in it in this way. Afterall, deception is a tool of the Devil. The truth is that God is who he is and the Bible is what it is. Still, there is a lot to read so that you can make up your own mind. And if you read enough and contemplate what you read, you can find a way to filter the truth from the deceptions. Peace and good luck.

People are replying saying that Satan would not write about his own doom, or that we should do good and not evil. Note the question gives reason why Satan would do so...to trick everyone. If he wrote a book that said to do evil and not good, most people would reject it right away. Remember...Satan can appear as an angel of light. He can even do so in the popular praise songs these days...

That said, I'd say that if Satan wrote the Bible then we have no knowledge of what God is like, or evidence that there even is a God. If we take the word of a book that was a joke (under the assumption that Satan did write it, in sticking with the premise of the question) then we have nothing to base our faith on.

This is a question I've thought about lately, but I stand in the camp that Satan did not write it.

This isnt a logical question.

If Satan wrote the bible, (AND he really is "satan") then he would have written it to glorify God and make himself look evil. Which would accomplish nothing for him.

If Satan were god, and wrote the bible to trick us into worshipping him as god, then he wouldnt have fulfilled his purpose at all... Because he would still be evil, and the whole bible is still about being good, and following Jesus, and putting others before yourself, and being humble.

Maybe Satan wrote the Quran.

That is a distinct possibility. What if Satan created the emperical evidence supporting "Evolution" to trick us into not believing in "creation?" What if you are being influenced by Satan now to trick people into thinking Satan wrote the Bible?? There are too many "what ifs"...you either believe or you don't.

What if Satan uses you to make people believe that the Bible is not the Word of God??

Why do you ask this question ? Are any of the sacred books of the numerous faiths written through devil ? And if no longer why unmarried out the Quran? The Muslims have as a lot precise to appreciate of their faith as the different. in case you've been to make the same statement about the Torah then, you should rightly be branded as anti-semitic. it is statements like yours which bitter inter-communal kin and that i imagine you ought to be banned from this website it is meant to foster change and under no circumstances exacerbate kin .

why would the content in the book say to praise and glorify God and keep Satan under your feet? Satan wouldnt write that. I think that you should read the bible before you start to judge to cover or what people have been telling you

If Satan was real, it would be awesome if he wrote the bible. He got banished to hell for questioning things, using reason and logic. I'd rather read a book by somone intelligent like that rather than some idiot who tells you all the things you SHOULDN'T be doing...plus he needs money.

Do we assume he had access to paper and ink (or scroll and feathers if you will)? The bible was written by MEN. Old, smelling, corruptable men. Men who had wives, committed a sin or two in their lifetime, got jock itch, craved pizza. Men who lived some time after the death of Jesus and were writing moreover from embelished memories than actual historical accounts. Mere men.
