depends on what I am making but generally brown sugar
I really like brown sugar in my coffee
(I have never used maple sugar only maple syrup in the place of honey)

They all contain the same basic sugar units, glucose & fructose. Nutritionally there isn't much difference. Although 1 tablespoon of table sugar has less calories than 1 tablespoon of honey.
The matter of preference would be of taste. As a diabetic I have to opt for none of the above.

Refined sugar...think about all the steps it must take to make it that pure, boring, flavourless, and uniform. Sugar has great flavour, why remove it? I prefer dark brown sugar or honey if I'm going to have sugar at all simply for the variety of flavour, and purity of the product.

honey all natural sugar
maple taste great but added stuff to it like sugar and more to give it that flavor
brown sugar is sugar just richer
refined sugar fake but added perservatives and such

I don't have a preferance between all of these. They all have distinct flavor profiles and are used depending on what kind of flavor and sweetness you're looking for. They all have their own uses and I like them all.
