No. That is why this ridiculous resolution is 'non binding'. Congress wishes it had the power to run a war, but now we see why the founding fathers were adamant about one person being commander in chief, and only one.

My Honest To God opioion is No he shouldent we already have 30,000 to 60,000 and now he wants to send a couple more thousand over to Iraq h#@l No!! it would be A whole Different Story if He had To send His Beloved Daughter Over There. Think About how the Families Feel when they find out that their son or daughter got blown up or a sniper got them. No, he does not need approval from anyone. He has the power to send troops anywhere he deems neccesary for a period of 90 days. this is not due to any new law. After that 90 days the only real way to bring troops home is to stop the funding of the deployment. Iraq is a great example of this. So to summarize he does NOT need permission and the only way to bring them home is to stop the funding of the deployment... Sgt. Stewart
